{"id":2144,"date":"2003-09-22T21:07:53","date_gmt":"2003-09-23T00:07:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/bb\/viewtopic.php?p=589"},"modified":"2010-05-08T23:27:49","modified_gmt":"2010-05-09T02:27:49","slug":"re-paris-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/blog\/2003\/09\/22\/re-paris-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Re: Paris!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m back.<\/p>\n<p>Actually I&#8217;ve returned from Paris a few days ago, extremely tired and jet-lagged (not to speak of some virus I picked up at the Expo) and my wife promptly whisked me away for a weekend in the interior: the nice little town of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lavrasnovas.com.br\/\">Lavras Novas<\/a> near Ouro Preto. No net access, lots of sleep and fresh air, excellent food, good music and nice people.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still not up to speed, but getting there slowly. Together, we shot over 900 photos of Paris, though comparatively little of the Expo. I&#8217;ve done an initial check of the photos today and some may be publishable.<\/p>\n<p>On our last night in Paris, I met Nick <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0120356\/\">Taliesin<\/a> Barrett and we had an extremely pleasant dinner at a cr\u00e9perie he recommended. I gave him some issues of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macmagazine.com.br\/\">Macmania<\/a> magazine, and he posted some <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0120356\/2003\/09\/19.html#a291\">very flattering comments<\/a> a few days later.
