{"id":2125,"date":"2003-10-21T20:00:35","date_gmt":"2003-10-21T23:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/bb\/viewtopic.php?p=612"},"modified":"2003-10-21T20:00:35","modified_gmt":"2003-10-21T23:00:35","slug":"re-uakti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/blog\/2003\/10\/21\/re-uakti\/","title":{"rendered":"Re: Uakti"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some photos of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sonsdouakti.hpg.ig.com.br\/\">Uakti<\/a>, as I <a href=\"\/bb\/viewtopic.php?p=610#610\">promised<\/a> a couple of days ago.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nHere are the four members of the trio: \ud83d\ude09<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/uakti1.jpg\" border=\"0\"  \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nfrom the top left, Marco Ant\u00f4nio Guimar\u00e3es, Paulo S\u00e9rgio Santos, Artur Andr\u00e9s Ribeiro and D\u00e9cio Ramos.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nHere are some of the instruments built by Marco Ant\u00f4nio; this is the &#8220;Grande Pan&#8221;, which stands about waist-high; the 13 PVC tubes are hit with foam paddles.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/uakti2.jpg\" border=\"0\"  \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nThis is the double glass marimba, which is played with several types of mallets, sometimes by two players at the same time:<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/uakti3.jpg\" border=\"0\"  \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nThis is the &#8220;Trilobyte&#8221;, each of the 10 PVC tubes has a calfskin drumhead, played with hands and fingers:<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/uakti4.jpg\" border=\"0\"  \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nAll these instruments do double duty as melody and percussion instruments.
