There&#8217;ve been over 3000 downloads so far in 3 days, beating <a href=\"\/xray\">XRay<\/a>&#8216;s 2800 and <a href=\"\/zingg\">Zingg!<\/a>&#8216;s 2000+ downloads over the whole month!<\/p>\n<p>c.k. over at <a href=\"http:\/\/3650anda12inch.blogspot.com\/2004_01_01_3650anda12inch_archive.html#107548213971477263\">3650 and a 12-inch<\/a> links to Nudge and suggests:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Apple should send him a rather large donation for providing a solution to one of their major Finder bugs&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Not that I would mind&#8230; \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure that the Apple folks <em>are<\/em> working hard at this. However, from the rumor sites, it seems they&#8217;re stretched rather thin at the moment, working on Mac OS X 10.3.3. Also, Nudge is more of a stop-gap solution; I certainly wouldn&#8217;t want it made permanent.<\/p>\n<p>The links and referrals stemming from <a href=\"http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/2004\/01\/nudge\">John Gruber&#8217;s article<\/a> are becoming too numerous to list. This shows, once again, how word of mouth is important for Mac developers. I also found a flattering side-effect at Ryan Wilcox&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/radio.weblogs.com\/0100544\/\">h4ck3r+=boi<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/inessential.com\/\">Brent Simmons<\/a> has created a <a href=\"http:\/\/groups.yahoo.com\/group\/macsb\/\">Mac Software Business mailing list<\/a> on Yahoo Groups.<\/p>\n<p>The description: &#8220;This group is for small, independent Macintosh developers who want to talk with other developers about the business of Mac development. Questions on pricing, packaging, advertising, e-commerce providers, and so on are on-topic. Note that this list isn&#8217;t a vehicle for promotion: announcements and press releases are off-topic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The members of the group include some heavy hitters in the Mac Software industry, in addition to Brent: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Rainer Brockerhoff<\/span>, <a href=\"http:\/\/c-command.com\/\">Michael Tsai<\/a>, along with a cast of additional others.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Brent&#8217;s mailing list seems to have great potential; if you&#8217;re a shareware\/indieware developer, I recommend it highly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Positive feedback on Nudge is mounting.
