{"id":1831,"date":"2005-08-26T21:16:13","date_gmt":"2005-08-27T00:16:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/bb\/viewtopic.php?p=1505"},"modified":"2010-05-08T20:30:36","modified_gmt":"2010-05-08T23:30:36","slug":"ave-fsm-pastafari-te-salutant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/blog\/2005\/08\/26\/ave-fsm-pastafari-te-salutant\/","title":{"rendered":"Ave FSM, pastafari te salutant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been following news about the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Creation-evolution_controversy\">evolution vs. creationism\/ID<\/a> debate with fascinated\/horrified disbelief&#8230; until a few years ago I wouldn&#8217;t have believed that it&#8217;s even an <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Teach_the_Controversy\">issue<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I think the best thing to come out of this whole mess is <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster\">the flying spaghetti monster<\/a> and its worshippers, the Pastafarians. Here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boingboing.net\/2005\/08\/26\/jim_leftwichs_flying.html\">my favorite logo<\/a> for the FSM so far, designed for <a href=\"http:\/\/boingboing.net\">boing boing<\/a> by Jim Leftwich:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/fsm.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s hope that the FSM creation theory is given due attention as a perfectly valid alternative to other &#8220;creation theories&#8221;.
