{"id":1717,"date":"2006-07-17T19:50:08","date_gmt":"2006-07-17T22:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/bb\/viewtopic.php?p=1831"},"modified":"2010-05-08T19:47:05","modified_gmt":"2010-05-08T22:47:05","slug":"re-sfo-here-we-come","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brockerhoff.net\/blog\/2006\/07\/17\/re-sfo-here-we-come\/","title":{"rendered":"Re: SFO here we come"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since yesterday, we&#8217;re safely ensconced at a nice hotel in downtown San Francisco, where we&#8217;ll stay for 4 weeks &#8211; leaving just after <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.apple.com\/wwdc\/index.html\">WWDC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The trip up to Corvallis (OR) was marvellous, especially the visit to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yenwen.net\/CraterLake01\/CraterLakeGallery.htm\">Crater Lake<\/a>. It&#8217;s the prettiest lake I&#8217;ve ever seen, and I&#8217;ve seen quite a lot. All this took a little more time and energy than we&#8217;d budgeted for, and after visiting with some friends we passed up a chance to see the famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davinci-days.org\/\">DaVinci Days Festival<\/a>. Instead, we opted to just walk around the beautiful <a href=\"http:\/\/oregonstate.edu\/\">Oregon State University<\/a> campus, which was well worth the visit.<\/p>\n<p>Going south the next day we opted for the more scenic 101 route (instead of the 5, which we&#8217;d driven up on), and it also was great. The Pacific shore is always beautiful and we also had an opportunity to revisit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.victorianferndale.org\/chamber\/\">Ferndale<\/a>, where we&#8217;d been on a previous Los Angeles-Vancouver trip.<\/p>\n<p>So, everything&#8217;s settling down and for the next 3 weeks I&#8217;ll try to do some extra work on <a href=\"\/xray\">XRay II<\/a>. Hopefully I&#8217;ll have a working alpha to show off at WWDC.
