Siegen and Netphen were excellent. We then visited a friend near D\u00fcsseldorf, tried to find a place near D\u00fcsseldorf or K\u00f6ln, but every hotel in a circle of maybe 80 Km around D\u00fcsseldorf was booked up (and at outrageous prices too!).<\/p>\n<p>So we decided to drive on and finally stayed for the night in D\u00fcren, an old papermaker&#8217;s town. The Paper Museum was fascinating! We then dropped in by surprise on friends near Aachen, and are now spending a day in Malmedy, Belgium.
